DIY - Wedding Album

Hello! Greetings from LFP!!
I did this DIY album December last year then I thought of sharing the step-by-step instructions on how to do it. This is how I managed to explain. I hope you guys understand the instructions given here.
The materials needed are:
1) an album - can use any size and type. mine is a cheap sticky album, standard size.
2) sponge - you can buy at any wedding shops. cut to fit the size of the album (tracing method).
3) glue and the glue gun
4) cloth as cover of the album - can be any material/type/color. I use satin cloth which I bought at RM2.50 per metre. it is very light and easy to handle. the color is white. cut the cloth with extra 3/4 inch for all sides.
5) satin ribbon - I use off-white satin ribbon. the size is 1 inch. the length is depending on the size of the album. the bigger the album, the more you need it.

I guess that's all we need to do the basic album. as for the cover, it is all depends on your own creativity.

you may add flowers on the cover

or do a photo frame-type cover

add lots of ribbons, you and your partner's names, date of weddings etc.
Apart from using satin cloth, you may use organza or even paper!
You can use it to keep your own photos or give it as a present to relatives and friends.
What are you waiting for? Polish your creativity and start now! Have fun!

*credit for all photos taken from the internet is on the photos. thank you.

just a little update..

a reporter (Ziela) from Sinar Harian newspaper (KL-S'gor edition) was kind enough to write about me in her newspaper (friday Nov 21 2008). nothing much, just a brief story about Little Flower Pot. more like a chit-chat :)
a lot of customers had actually called and asked about our products and services and made their bookings/orders.
thanks Ziela for covering my little LFP...

trip to flora etc

Greetings from Little Flower Pot!
Last Monday, my fellow blogger friend, Mya and I went to flora, etc, Ampwalk KL. It's been more than a year since my last visit. Mr. Razak Ahmad, the owner of this stunning shop (or should I call the place flower haven!) welcomed us with warm and friendly smile, like always. It was really good to see him!!! Being part of flora, etc before, I walked around the place shamelessly! Like old days :)
We were talking about flowers, flowers and flora, etc! Looking at him and his flower haven, I felt so motivated and recharged to go back to work! He’s a mentor and a motivator to me. He never fails to give advice and info. He always shares his experience and knowledge. For me, he is the best flower designer and wedding planner in Malaysia. He inspires me to work hard and stay focus on my job.
How time flies, after 2 hours of conversation and looking at the photos of his previous works, we decided to go back (thanks Mya for the reminder!). He told us the team of Nona Magazine will be coming over for shooting.

some of his work

Come back next time, he said. Sure I will!! On my way back, I saw Nona Magazine and flipped over the pages and saw him. Bought the magazine immediately and still flipping through the pages! The sight of flowers never bores me.

check out Mr. Razak in Nona Magazine

I wish him the best of luck in his future undertaking.
He’s a role model to young generation that ventures into this business (like me!)

The Garden of Eden

Greetings from Little Flower Pot!

there are many ways to show how much we love flowers.
we plant them.
we draw them.
we arrange them. like i do.
we stitch them.
we create them. using buttercream and fondant!
i was bloghopping and came across a blog of a lovely lady who is creating very nice flowers. using buttercream and fondant. all her flower creations are nice and well done. she certainly has the talent (plus the creativity) to do it. Here is the picture of The Garden of Eden made by her. Amazing!

there are many more cupcakes and beautiful wedding cakes pictures in her personal blog http://inawhiz.blogspot.com/ and her business blog http://wizzcakes.blogspot.com/

did i mentioned stitch? ribbon embroidery (RE) is nothing new to art and craft lovers. looking at this creation made by umi, you'll be amazed!

the flowers were so perfect (the material of the ribbons must be of high quality) and the designs are all elegant! plus the price is also affordable! reach umi at http://www.umirose.com/ for more designs and variety of products.

last but not least, fresh flower arrangement-arranged by me. a purple bridal bouquet. i used purple eustoma, white eustoma and purple phoenix. bridal bouquet price range RM120-RM200
